How Far I'll Go!

One of my friends shared an inspirational quote on Facebook this week. It said: “ Life is a series of tiny miracles. Notice them.”

Life is an equally beautiful and terrifying journey. Terrifying because of its uncertainties. Terrifying because we don’t have magical psychic abilities to predict the future. Yet, it is beautiful because of its limitless possibilities and opportunities. Some might call me a dreamer. And, some may say I am as stubborn as a mule, but in my view, every day is a gift. Life is too beautiful not to wake up every day and live it to its fullest capacity.

One of my favorite all- time scriptures is: For you knit me together in my mother’s womb and I will praise you, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. This is what keeps me going- faith. Faith that even if at times I feel confused, lost, frustrated and scared, there is a reason behind my struggles.

How far do I have to go?

This is a question that I have asked myself hundreds of times. There have many times where I have had to make the decision to keep chasing my dreams, despite my own feelings of self- doubt, and despite the misconceptions of others. Sometimes, the misconceptions of others are what has ultimately added fuel to the fire inside of my heart. Most recently, I achieved my goal of completing my degree in Educational Assistance. I was inspired to pursue a degree in educational assistance partly because of my own personal experiences, but also because I wanted to ensure that the children I work with believe in themselves and in their capabilities. I want people to know that there is nothing more motivating and gratifying than making the decision to chase your dreams.

All the way. That is how far I’ll go!
