What a Wonderful World!

If my life was a song, it would be called, live life like every day is your best day ever because it pretty much is.

I love the very idea of diversity. I am not just talking about diversity in the context of ethnicity, religion and cultural beliefs. I am talking about diversity in perspectives too and being deeply enamored with the idea that we all have our own story, each one different from the other. You are on a beautifully, unique journey that is meant just for you.

We live in a world where so many people struggle with confidence and self- worth. I think this is because there comes a point in everyone’s life, where we all become consumed with conforming to societal norms, simply because we feel that this is the only way we will fit in or be accepted by others. Normal is overrated. The fact that we are all our own unique person is what makes the world so beautiful. If we were all the same person, the world would be a pretty dull and boring place.

Perhaps, the most difficult part of this though is learning to be comfortable in your own skin. It is human nature to focus on what we view as challenges or imperfections, but you would not be you without them.

When we let go of negativity, a world of infinite possibilities begins to open up. A world where anything is possible. A world where we trust ourselves, a world where people follow their dreams, even if it scares the shit out of them. A world where people are open and honest, where we let the beauty of perspectives shatter us regularly. A world where we listen to understand, not just to reply. A world where we are accepting of one another’s differences.

Do what makes you happy. Be you, because you are beautiful just the way you are.
