Blessed Beyond Measure!

I had the most amazing week. Some days, I can't help but stop and wonder how I got so lucky. I have an amazing life!

I realize that some people might look at my life and feel sorry for because I have a disability, but while living with Cerebral Palsy has definitely brought it's set of challenges, I believe that it has ultimately enriched my life in more ways than I count. It has taught me about the importance of having a positive mindset, and that our attitude is a choice that we make. It has taught me that persistence is key and that when plan A proves unsuccessful, there are twenty five other letters in the alphabet.  

It has taught me about the measure of the most powerful force on the planet. Love. I have learned that love can carry a person through absolutely anything. Love is the foundation of strength. I am the strong woman I am today because of the incredible humans in my life. 

Recently, I decided to register for the Life Without Limits Challenge. This event is to raise money and awareness for individuals affected by Cerebral Palsy and other different abilities. On September 16, myself and my team made up of a group of my family and friends will walk five kilometers in support of this event. I want to walk in the Life Without Limits Challenge, because I know that I am fortunate to have the life and the physical abilities that I do. I want to walk for those who can't. I am completely overwhelmed by the amount of support, encouragement and donations we have received since my team launched our fundraising campaign last week. My heart feels like it is going to explode. To everyone who has shown us support, whether it be through words of encouragement and\ or donation, thank you so much. This is going to help so many people. And to the people who have made a committment to walking with me, I am eternally grateful for you! It means the world to me that I will be tackling this challenge with a group of people I love so much.
